Yani Tseng: Sunday Interview 2015

Q Thank you. Made a pretty good charge there, the putt just didn't stay on line you thought?

YANI TSENG: I don't know. I putted was on line, the ball just didn't stay online. So I do my best out there, I mean, just probably not good enough, you know. I mean, I miss a driver, I hit a great second shot and give myself several good birdie chances out there and I've been fighting really hard today and I do my best. So hopefully coming back next year and we're looking forward to next few tournaments.

Q Seeing you get that close has got to feel pretty good, right?

YANI TSENG: It does feel pretty good. I don't know where that emotion come from. I just feel that I'm so ready to win, you make that put to get into the playoff. I'm just very happy to be back on top again and feel like I'm finally getting very comfortable on the course and enjoy the golf again and I smile, stay relaxed and I just missed that little bit, that pressure, that nerves on the last few holes or on the last group. So just very happy to be back on top again and just still have a few tournaments left so I'm just going to keep fighting.

Q Was that good sign to hit such a good second shot there on 18 under pressure, to fire that second shot in there to 10 feet?

YANI TSENG: I think so I mean I just haven't done that for a long time, but that means my game is still there, just I've got to get mental. I don't know. I just, I mean, doesn't matter if it's on the last hole or first hole, every hole I just try to make birdies. You've got to make birdies out here to be on the field. So I mean, like I said, I do my best and just very happy to be out there to be on top again and I think it's going to happen, just with time.

Q What happened on 17, I know you needed a birdie there?

YANI TSENG: I know, it was so close. I mean, I hit good putt, just didn't go in. Less than I thought.

Q How far was that?

YANI TSENG: It was about 10 feet. This one was about 12, 10, so I missed the last few putt, but I do my best. I don't feel like I made bad choice, I made good choice, just didn't get in.

Q How did you feel when that lipped out just at the very end there, what was going through your head?

YANI TSENG: I didn't think it was going to lip out so, yeah, I just  I don't know why that didn't go in. I made a good putt, I felt boy, it's going in, because I had the little hole in front of my  it was at three feet, it was a little hole. So I just, okay, let's hit left side and then it turns and kind of turn back a little bit, I don't know, that putt is no way it's going to turn left and it turns left at the end. I don't know, I just did my best, you know. Sometimes you need a little luck to win a tournament too.

Q You had a great week. How would you grade yourself, how did you feel about the whole week?

YANI TSENG: I feel good. This course suits my game. I'm just very, like I say, feel comfortable on the course and feel confident and just enjoy hitting every shot.

Q Congratulations.

Q Would you like to do something mean to that hole if you got a chance?

YANI TSENG: No, I'm coming back next year to make that putt.
